After briefly turning negative, stocks turned higher again following the Philadelphia Fed President Patrick Harker’s remarks that the Fed should begin talks on reducing bond buying sooner rather than later. Bitcoin turned sharply lower after China took remarks made earlier in the week a step further, saying that the nation will crackdown on Bitcoin mining as well. This poses a real security threat for the crypto currency as security on the blockchain relies on having a large amount of active miners to validate transactions, and with over half of all mining happens in China, the move could open the door to increased hacking and fraud.

The Financial Services sector is outperforming the market, increasing 1.02% so far on the day.
